It’s mandatory for MacFamilyTree to import these files from a folder containing all media files like pictures, videos and audio files- and without any sub-folders.ġ. ![]() Therefore, your media files might be distributed to multiple locations on your computer. Just Family Tree Maker knows where these files are and there are just links to those media files. ![]() Unfortunately the developers of Family Tree Maker made the very poor choice of not importing media files but just linking them. You can see if your version of Family Tree Maker allows you to do so, please check the export dialogue for „include media files“. Not every version of Family Tree Maker allows you to export links to your media files.
